About Jeremy Ferderber

Grassroots Advocate for Change

I was born and raised just outside Pennsylvania House District 28 on my family’s organic farm, where I learned early the value of hard work, community, and environmental stewardship. I graduated from Mars High School in 1996 and went on to earn a degree in Environmental Science, with a minor in Spanish, from Allegheny College in 2000.

After college, I moved to Miami, Florida, where I spent 17 years working in the environmental consulting field with a specialty in indoor air quality. During that time, I oversaw day‑to‑day on‑site operations following the 9/11 tragedy and conducted health and safety monitoring for multiple agencies, followed by a successful career as an expert in indoor environmental assessments throughout South Florida. These experiences shaped my commitment to public health, worker safety, and evidence‑based problem‑solving.

While in Florida, I met my wife, and together we welcomed our two children. As our family grew, we made the decision to return to Pennsylvania so our kids could be raised close to family and experience the same strong community ties that shaped my own upbringing. We now live in the Pine‑Richland School District, where I regularly volunteer in school activities and coach youth soccer, while working full time as Vice President in the operations of my family’s natural foods distribution business.

These experiences—rooted in family, service, and a lifelong connection to this region—shape my dedication to representing our community. I welcome the opportunity to help strengthen the rights my children currently have, and to protect them and all Pennsylvanians into the future, starting in our own backyard.
